Heartbreaking Tragedy In Texas

A heartbreaking tragedy unfolded in Texas when 11-year-old Jocelynn Rojo Carranza took her own life on February 8 after enduring relentless bullying. Her mother shared that classmates targeted her over her family’s immigration status, even threatening to call ICE, leaving Jocelynn feeling isolated and hopeless.

Although she reportedly sought counseling at school, her mother was never informed of how severe the bullying had become. The school district stated that they take bullying seriously but did not confirm whether they were aware of Jocelynn’s struggles.

Jocelynn, a cherished daughter and friend, was laid to rest as her family and community grieved her loss. Her story is a painful reminder of the devastating toll bullying can take and the urgent need for better protections and support for children facing harassment.
